Volunteer at the Museum!
Currently the museum has over 160 volunteers from all walks of life.  Our volunteers come from very diverse backgrounds with one common goal, the preservation of our local railroad history so that future generations may experience the Long Island Railroad of yesteryear.  Volunteers work to whatever extent desired in order to help the museum come to fruition. Some of the areas that need more help are the Preview Center, restoration work on some of the equipment, working on fundraising events, and office and administrative work to help raise public awareness of the museum. This enables the preservation of our rich railroad history here on Long Island for future generations.

New volunteers are always welcome and no skills or experience are necessary.  There is truly something for anyone to do, regardless of your interests.
